Emma took three steps today. I didn’t see it, though. I just heard it. When I had looked at Emma she was standing at the base of her high chair and then, I hear this thud, thud, thud! When I looked in response, she was standing at the next chair around the dining room table! I was so excited and called Richard to tell him.

We went to one of Emma’s friend’s 3rd Birthday. We had so much fun. It was at this place called Bounce U. You rent the facility and it has all kinds of inflatable games. These are pictures of us going down the slide.

Today Little Emma was so precious when she woke up. She just keeps repeating Da-Da just like she did Ma-Ma. When I got her out of her crib, I put her on the floor and she has figured out how to sort the shapes in her little toy frigerator. She put the square in the square hole and the triangle in the triangle hole. She also pressed the button to make the toys fall out into a bowl. She is so smart! It really amazes me sometimes.

Then, after Emma woke up from her nap, she kept holding the really super-soft bear Richard had gotten her when I was barely pregnant. She just kept holding it against her face saying Da-Da. I have told her many times that her Dad got her that bear. I know she knows it, too!

I am very excited about having another baby here before too long. But, I also want Emma to know that nothing could ever take her place in her Mom and Dad’s heart. She is the reason we love being parents so much! She is a delight in our lives and we love her more than we could ever convey. She will always be “My Baby.”

I take turns walking the dogs with Emma. But, nobody loves Emma like Lucy does. She freaks out if Emma cries and she makes sure she walks close to the stroller so she can keep an eye on her. I like to think it is because she is a mom, too! Then, I always get tickled because Emma likes to reach out and grab the leash, which pulls poor Lucy into the stroller. I think she thinks she is in control that way!

Emma’s new thing is to go in drawers and drag everything out. It used to be my underwear drawer. Now, she has found the bill drawer! She told me she would help write checks if I would teach her!

We never got any cake at the party but they had some at the fundraiser. Emma, like any child, loved it!!!

The fundraiser was strange to say the least. But, Emma loved the praise band. She was praising the Lord!

Today we went to Emma’s first birthday party. It was Logan Clendenon’s (sp?) 1st birthday. She lives just on the corner in our neighborhood. We are going to have Emma’s party at the same place, Bur-mil Park, hopefully. Emma had so much fun and was an angel at the party. Everyone wanted to play with her and the Dads and their little girls would take her down the slide while I waited at the bottom. She played with balloons, too. She LOVED those. Then, Logan came and gave Emma a kiss to thank her for coming! It was really cute!!!
